This is a really simple task and when you make the clone you can always go back if it does not work. So lets get started with a few types of containers that cant be just cloned over automatically.
If you are using our free testing domains as the primary domain or relying on it, you won't be able to move it. You can tell if it's the primary domain as it will be the domain listed on the main containers list.
Cloning a contaner
Go to the container in the dashboard and open it, once you do you will see a clone option at the top of the page.
Once you click on clone you will be presented with a list of locations, pick one and it will start the process, you will be told when the clone is done.
Updating DNS
Now that you have moved your container the DNS for the domain may not be correct so you will need to update it.
Go to DNS and update the records to match the data at the top of the page.
Any of the records below in the DNS area that show the old locations NS or A records will need to be updated with the new NS and new IP address for the server. Without making this change our DNS will not provide the correct info for your site.
Update your domain
Now update your domain from your domain provider to point to the new Name Servers for the new location, this might take some time and DNS updates over the web can take up to 48 hours. If you are not using our DNS all you need to do is update your DNS on your domain provider or other (like CloudFlare) with the new server IP and Hostnames on all MX, A, and CNAME records.
All done
It's not that complicated and remember only to delete your old container once you know the new one is fully working so you can move your domain back to the old container if something does not work.
